Thru-bore slip rings are very useful when combined with fluidic rotary unions or for easy integration as the slip ring can mount directly on the machine rotating shaft. Nowadays, industry 4.0 applications increasingly require fieldbuses that are based on Ethernet standard (EtherCAT, Profinet, Industriel Ethernet) or at least they use the copper-twisted pair as transmission media. 

Our most popular thru-bore slip ring series, that is the SVTS C 05 then offers E1M or E1G option respectively providing a 100Base-TX or 1000Base-T communication channel through an industrial Cat5e shielded cable showing RJ45 terminations. This way your rotating automation equipment can easily be powered and linked to your fieldbus. 

Obviously, we can also integrate fieldbus channel on other thru-bore diameters up to 100mm, do not hesitate to contact us to share your specific demands.
